The Introductory Hijama Therapy Course (C.I.H.T):
This course offers an excellent foundation in the art and principles of hijama/cupping therapy. It equips students to practice both “wet and dry hijama/cupping” therapy, with a primary focus on “dry hijama.” However, there are specific limitations on the application of “wet cupping hijama” or Blood Cupping Therapy (B.C.T.). These restrictions are in place to ensure the health and safety of both students and patients, taking into account the students’ ability, potential, and confidence in their approach.
The course curriculum provides guidance on the ailments that students will be capable of safely treating at this stage of their studies. Graduates of this level are not permitted to perform hijama/cupping on the head region of patients. Instead, the course prepares students to administer hijama/cupping on the highly beneficial “sunnah points” and instructs them on how to treat 25 different diseases using their corresponding hijama or cupping points in combination.
This course is an essential stepping stone in the journey to becoming a proficient hijama therapist, instilling the foundational knowledge and skills necessary for safe and effective practice.
